Europe is getting ready for the festive season, and after one year of restrictions, Christmas markets are back again with their former glory. Budapest is famous for its splendid festive season decor and lively Christmas market, which is a must-try if you are in town for December.

The main market is located in Vörösmarty tér, which is just a couple of meters away from Deák Ferenc tér, which many consider the very heart of the city. It stretches out all the way to the Basilica, which provides a picturesque backdrop to the delecious meals and hot drinks that you can enjoy while enjoying the market. This year the Christmas market will be open between 19 November and 31 December, giving us plenty of time to enjoy everything it can offer.
