Description of the Program

This Master’s program is designed to cultivate expert Cartographers with a sophisticated, professional approach, grounded in advanced theoretical understanding and practical proficiency. It is ideal for applicants aiming to lead and coordinate cartographic and geoinformatic projects, providing them with the comprehensive knowledge and skills to address challenges ranging from traditional cartography to IT-based solutions.

The curriculum delivers a wide spectrum of expertise in Cartography and Geoinformatics, integrating geography, earth sciences, information technology, database management, and web-mapping services. Students master both the underlying theory and the latest methodologies for developing and implementing state-of-the-art visualization techniques.

Why is this program excellent?

Cartography has been revitalized as a modern, applied science through digital transformation, yet few institutions offer specialized training at the Master's level. Our program's exceptional quality is ensured by a distinguished faculty, many of whom hold leadership roles in national and international professional bodies and serve on editorial boards for leading field journals.

This academic excellence is supported by modern infrastructure and fully equipped laboratories. Furthermore, we foster a collaborative community through a dedicated mentoring system, where upper-year and PhD students guide newcomers in successfully navigating their first year at the university.
