Budapest International College is introducing a new application pathway for prospective International Relations BA students (program offered by KJU). Recognizing that success in international relations depends not only on academic performance but also on communication, critical thinking, global awareness, and most importantly: enthusiasm, applicants now have the opportunity to receive a Conditional Acceptance Letter without completing an admissions interview or Mathematics test. Instead, applicants may submit a short video presentation as part of their application.
Why this approach?
International Relations is a field built on dialogue, perspective, and the ability to interpret complex global issues. This alternative format allows applicants to demonstrate these skills directly, offering a more relevant and engaging way to assess their potential.
At the same time, this method supports the creation of a more active, discussion-oriented student cohort from the outset.
Eligibility criteria
Though interview and math test are not required, applicants must still meet the following minimum requirements:
GPA: at least 60%
Mathematics grade: at least 70%
Video submission requirements
Applicants are asked to submit a 5-7 minute video, including:
1. Personal introduction
A brief overview of their background and motivation for studying in Budapest.
2. Topic presentation
A short presentation on a global political issue of their choice.
Applicants are encouraged to use visual aids (such as slides or notes) if they wish.

- clarity of thought
- keen interest in global affairs
- ability to communicate ideas effectively
This initiative reflects our commitment to identifying students who are not only academically prepared, but also ready to actively engage with the challenges and discussions that define international relations today.
